DTAL Conference 2024

Educators will explore innovative ways to showcase student comprehension of standards or objectives through Performance-Based Learning (PBL) without traditional assessments. This student-centered approach fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity while addressing real-world problems or questions about a topic. Participants will explore the benefits of using PBL as an alternative assessment tool, encouraging students to demonstrate mastery through hands-on projects, presentations, and reflections. Participants will leave with a toolkit of ideas and resources to implement Performance-Based Learning effectively in their classrooms, promoting active learning and fostering a deeper understanding of content standards.
