The number of English Learners (ELs) in our classrooms is growing quickly. This session will introduce participants to the diverse group of ELs in Virginia Beach and highlight the importance of cultural competence when teaching them. Participants will leave with effective strategies and inclusive digital tools to help empower ELs in secondary classes and to facilitate communication with their families.
